Adora Land is from St. Paul, Minnesota, and a long-time resident of the Rondo and Summit-University community. Adora works to carry the spirit of Rondo by continuing to build a strong Black Community. She is a Program Manager at the Wilder Foundation specifically the St. Paul Promise Neighborhood (SPPN) where she manages external partners and collaborates with community organizations to bring resources and knowledge to families in SPPN. Adora loves her work with SPPN because she is able to uplift community knowledge, collective responsibility, and self-determination. Adora comes from a family with a strong value in education and being an educator. She is a fourth-generation college graduate. Adora graduated from the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology of Law as well as African and African American Studies. She attended Metropolitan State University with a Masters in Public and Nonprofit Administration. Adora has worked in the nonprofit sector for almost 10 years. Outside of work and academics, Adora loves to spend her time giving back to her community. Adora is the Co-President of the University of Minnesota Black Alumni Network working to advance the interest and welfare of the Black community at the University of Minnesota. She is also a proud member of the most illustrious sorority, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. Adora married D’Sean Tolefree in July 2020, in the middle of a global pandemic. They live in St. Paul, Minnesota.
