Alisha Shelton is a licensed independent mental health practitioner and licensed professional counselor. Alisha serves as an integrative therapist at Omaha Integrative Care where she specializes in trauma informed services across the lifespan. Alisha is a skilled advocate with award winning accomplishments. Alisha has operated as a member on the executive board of the Omaha Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta in numerous roles since 2008. Most recently as Co-Chair of Regional Program, Planning, and Development. Alisha was a Nebraska 2020 Democratic Candidate for U.S. Senate. In the Primary Election, Alisha obtained 33, 866 votes for a third-place finish. Alisha contributes as a member on the following boards: The Lehmin Center, Healing Hearts of the Midlands, and Glenmoor/Turnbridge Homeowners Association. Strengths brought to each position include fundraising, governance, succession planning, and protecting fiduciary interests. Her life passions are equality, healing, and creating safe containers to build high performing teams. Alisha has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology Pre-Medicine from Xavier University of Louisiana along with two Masters of Science degrees from Bellevue University in Human Services and Clinical Counseling. Alisha is happily married to Vincent. She enjoys dancing and traveling with him. Playing freeze tag with their two dogs Charlie and Snoopy is a favorite activity that stirs up an amazing belly laugh.
