Allison (Alli) Rogers brings close to two decades of work experience spanning the public, private and academic sectors. Alli is finishing a Joint Accelerated J.D./L.L.M. degree program at Vermont Law School, where she is in the Energy Law L.L.M. track with a concentration in Climate Law. Alli currently serves as Fundraising Director for Climable.org, a nonprofit focused on making climate science and energy information understandable and actionable. She previously served as Development Director for Wild Gift, a 12-month fellowship program for environmental entrepreneurs that includes mentoring and wilderness-based leadership programs in the stunning backwoods of Idaho focused on startup and business skills. Alli served as Director of Policy for the RI Department of Administration from 2012 to 2017 within the Governor Chafee and Governor Raimondo Administrations. Alli previously served as Executive Director for Speaker Pelosi's Green the Capitol Office within the U.S. House of Representatives. She worked with the office between 2007 to 2011, initially as a Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory contractor and then as a Congressional staffer. Alli began her career with the Harvard Office for Sustainability (then known as the Harvard Green Campus Initiative), where she coordinated energy efficiency and sustainability programs for Harvard College, Harvard Law School, Harvard Business School and Harvard Real Estate Services. Alli serves on the Diversity Taskforce for the Miss America Organization, as well as the Montpelier, VT-based Monteverdi Music School Board of Directors and Center for Arts and Learning Board of Directors. She previously served on the Miss RI Scholarship Program Board, where she most recently served as the state’s Executive Director. Alli was the first and only Miss America candidate to date to run on a climate change solutions platform in her year of service as Miss RI 2006. In 2012, Alli climbed Mount Kilimanjaro with 13 other women with Climb for Conservation to bring awareness to climate change solutions. She was one of the first 50 people to be trained to present on climate solutions by Vice President Gore with The Climate Reality Project. Alli received her B.A. with honors from Harvard College, her Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and her M.A. in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College. She is also a 2018 graduate of the Founder Institute, the world’s largest pre-seed startup accelerator.
