Research Scientist III, California Department of Public Health
Amish Doshi is a Research Scientist III with the Maternal Child and Adolescent Health Division (MCAH) of the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). He has been at CDPH/MCAH since 2012. He currently serves as the lead scientist for the monitoring and evaluation of the Adolescent Family Life Program. Previous to this role, he served in a variety of capacities providing evaluation support for the Black Infant Health Program. Before arriving at CDPH, he worked at Kaiser Permanente Southern California Regional Headquarters in Pasadena as an intern in the Community Benefit Department supporting grantmaking activities as part of the safety net population funding priority. The conversations, mentors, colleagues and challenges that came with these experiences have only reaffirmed his commitment to a career as a leader in racial and health equity work. Amish has a Master of Public Health (MPH) with a concentration in Epidemiology/Biostatistics from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from UC Irvine. He grew up in Sacramento and enjoys traveling, playing basketball, listening to music/podcasts, reading and hanging out with friends and family. His top strengths are achiever, adaptability, ideation, belief and restorative.
