Anna specializes in strategic communications, campaign management, campaign field and targeting operations. She earned a reputation for breaking ground by winning historic campaigns – electing the first woman mayor of New Orleans and the first black woman city-wide official of Portland, Oregon.
Prior to joining Forward Solution Strategy Group as an Associate Partner, Anna worked as Communication Director to Congressman Earl Blumenauer and Campaign Director to Blumenauer for Congress. For the 2018 cycle, Anna managed the municipal campaign for Jo Ann Hardesty, overseeing all aspects of fundraising, communications, political endorsements, and staff. Anna helped Jo Ann earn a mandate of 61.7% of the votes in November, 2018. The campaign's biggest success was the record breaking 1,870 individual donors. Anna previously led the voter targeting strategy as the data director and deputy field director for the LaToya Cantrell for Mayor campaign in New Orleans. Newspaper columnists attribute the Cantrell campaign's success to implementing bottom-up tactics, social media and direct voter outreach, and to "emotionally connecting with a cross-racial coalition of voters throughout the city."
In 2019, Anna was recognized as a top 40 under 40 Young Professionals by the National Association of Asian Pacifics in Politics and Public Affairs. Anna currently serves as the New Leaders’ Council Louisiana chapter Co-Director, as well as on the Board of Directors of Step Up Louisiana and Board of Directors of HandsOn New Orleans. She is a 2015-2016 New Orleans Institute of Politics Fellow; a 2016 Fellow of the New Leaders’ Council, Louisiana chapter; 2016 Emerging Philanthropist of New Orleans Fellow; and 2017 Youth Empowerment Project 40 under 40 Cohort member.
