Position
NLC Orlando Co-Director

Aubrey moved to Orlando a decade ago to attend the University of Central Florida. As an undergraduate, she volunteered in local schools and an after-school tutoring center where she began to understand the inequities inherent in public education. After graduating, Aubrey completed a 10-month AmeriCorps apprenticeship with Public Allies Central Florida. During her service year, she developed a love of capacity-building work which she carries with her to this day. She also cultivated a deep curiosity about community and family engagement in schools that led her to pursue a masters in Education Policy and Management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Unable to stay away from the City Beautiful, she returned to Orlando after finishing her masters. She currently serves as the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Research and an instructor for the LEAD Scholars Academy, teaching first-year students. She has been a board member for NLC Orlando since completing her fellowship in 2017, serving first as the Curriculum Chair and now as Co-Director. When not on campus or at an NLC event, she can be found with her nose buried in a book or cheering on the Tampa Bay Lightning.
