Policy & Advocacy Strategist, ACLU of Texas
Blair Ruth Wallace is a Policy and Advocacy Strategist for the ACLU of Texas, focusing on abortion rights. She is a mother and an organizer who is driven to do this work because she was allowed to decide when (and if) she became a parent, unlike her mothers. During her time at the ACLU, she has worked on various campaigns but is most proud of the launch of the Anthony Graves Speakers Bureau at TSU and the annual Reproductive Freedom in Action conference. Most recently, she co-founded the Texas Abortion Access Network (TAAN), along with eight other Texas abortion providers, funds, and rights orgs. When she's not thinking about how to unify Texans behind abortions rights, she can be found hiking in the woods, swimming in the ocean, collecting rocks, or planting plants (typically with a four year old on her shoulders).
