Staff Liaison to the Tallahassee-Leon County Commission on the Status of Women and Girls, The Oasis Center for Women and Girls
Catherine Register is devoted to advancing equity and increasing community support for diverse populations of vulnerable women, girls, and all people experiencing disadvantages. Her experience spans a wide swath of human services, including working with persons with disabilities, women experiencing homelessness, and individuals without health insurance in need of medical care. Catherine is the Staff Liaison for the Tallahassee-Leon County Commission on the Status of Women and Girls (CSWG) at the Oasis Center for Women and Girls. She holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Georgia and has completed graduate coursework in Social Work with an emphasis on Community Organization. Catherine also co-owns a local business with her husband, which provides tech services and support to Apple users in Tallahassee. Her experience as both an entrepreneur and a human services provider has deeply informed her work as an advocate. Her lifelong commitment to empowering vulnerable people is fueled by her role as the mother of three young girls. The responsibility of raising empowered and confident women has motivated her in both personal and professional growth. Catherine works in and out of the office to assess needs in the community and target resources to direct to unmet needs. She now works alongside local community leaders to pursue progressive policy change to improve the lives of women and girls in Tallahassee.
