Development Officer, Florida State University Foundation
Daniel Pooler is currently a Development Officer at the Florida State University College of Business. He serves as the lead fundraiser for the Accounting Department and primary steward for the Chicago, Denver, and Washington, D.C. area markets. As a surrogate for Florida State University, Daniel utilizes years of relationship management experience to cultivate a multimillion-dollar donor portfolio and solicit major-gift contributions at, or above, $30,000. With a fierce passion for local politics, Daniel uses much of his free time immersing himself in the world of political campaigns. He previously served as campaign manager for former Leon County Commissioner Bob Rackleff’s 2018 congressional race in Florida’s largest and most rural district. In this role, he constructed and executed a 19 county communications, field, and fundraising strategy as well as fostered relationships with stakeholders throughout the Panhandle. Nowadays, Daniel prefers to focus his time on races within Leon county, helping campaigns execute field programs and secure financial commitments. A native Floridian, Daniel was born and raised in Palm City, FL, and relocated to Leon county in 2015 to earn his bachelor’s in political science. The 2018 campaign cycle exposed him to the culture of kindness and hospitality that permeates communities throughout North Florida and served as his reasoning for making Tallahassee his permanent home. In his free time, Daniel enjoys spending time with his two nephews, hiking one of North Florida’s many trails, or binge-watching Bravo TV with his close friends.
