Danté Jennings is a graduate of Duval County Public Schools, and is a first generation college scholar, graduating from Florida International University in 2010. After teaching mathematics for several years he was recognized as Teacher of the Year in 2017. It was during this time he saw the need for more accountability and advocacy within school leadership, and joined the ranks of Columbia University, graduating in 2019 with his Master in Organization Leadership. Danté also served as the President of the Jacksonville Urban League Young Professionals from 2018-2020, where he chose education, economics, and the economy of health and wellness as his focus in this fight for equity and prosperity.
