David Leathers is a progressive social impact professional focused on helping businesses do their part to solve social and environmental challenges. As Program Manager, Impact Management at B Lab Global, David supports businesses and systems around the world to accelerate progress towards the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. Before joining B Lab, David was part of Deloitte’s Global Corporate Responsibility team, harnessing the power of Deloitte’s resources and 330,000+ people to deliver WorldClass, an effort to impact 50 million people by 2030 through education, skills, and access to opportunity. In previous roles at Deloitte, David consulted with various public and private sector clients to improve their customer and employee experiences. He also co-led a project for the Tent Partnership for Refugees which provided some of the world's largest companies new tools for building more inclusive workplaces for refugee employees. David also has extensive experience in the Middle East, working in Egypt as a Presidential Associate at the American University in Cairo, leading projects that improved student life, safety, and operations across two campuses. While receiving a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Claremont McKenna College, he also lived in Jordan, studying Arabic as well as the impact of private investment on development in the region. Outside of work, David serves as a Program Advisor with Jusoor, which supports Syrian refugees to start new careers and businesses, and also volunteers as a mentor with iMentor in New York City. David lives in Brooklyn and continues to explore this amazing city by fork and bike.
