Learning Content Designer, Walmart Inc
Esthella Kamara is committed to providing pathways of opportunity, growth, and learning for all. She is a Learning Content Designer at Walmart Inc. where she develops and writes learning content in a variety of modalities, from in-person instructor-led training to virtual courses and videos. Her instructional design helps to improve professional job skills of associates in the field, at distribution centers, as well as at Walmart’s corporate office. She has experiences in private, non-profit, and government sectors and has worked with learners of diverse ages and backgrounds. She previously served as a board member of Learning Strategies Prep, a non-profit for students with learning disabilities. Esthella is an AmeriCorps alum, completing two years of service with Habitat for Humanity and Reading Partners. In the government sector, she has had the opportunity to intern at the Foreign Service Institute as well as work at the Iowa State Capitol assisting House Representative, Ruth Ann Gaines. In her free time, Esthella enjoys various forms of creative expression, including writing, music, and art. With her desire to uplift others, she founded the blog, PrositLive where she shares her poetry, inspirational quotes, and motivational messages. She also enjoys travel and immersing herself in new languages and cultures. Esthella holds an MA in International Educational Development from Columbia University, Teachers College, and a BA in Political Communication (summa cum laude) with French Minor from the University of Northern Iowa.
