Jameson Dixon Jr

Jameson Dixon Jr is the Assistant Director of Employer Engagement and Diversity Recruitment at DePaul University's Career Center. In his role, he helps organizations in the technology, media, arts, and communications industries develop their university recruiting strategies for full-time jobs and internships. Jameson also helps organizations develop recruitment and retention strategies for underrepresented talent. Before his current position, Jameson managed large scale university job fairs with over 2,000 annual attendees. Jameson attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana where he majored in political science. During his time at Purdue, he developed a passion for community development, public service, and policy. Through his experiences at DePaul, Jameson found a passion for connecting students to career opportunities. Combining this passion with his Purdue experience, Jameson hopes to expose underrepresented communities to opportunities in the technology industries. Many minority students and youth do not get access to these opportunities for many reasons and Jameson hopes to contribute to solving the challenges of access to opportunities. Jameson is from a large family; he is the 4th in a family of 12. He values the importance of family and community connection. In his spare time, Jameson enjoys biking, filmmaking, and traveling. He a lifelong resident of the Chicagoland area and hopes to contribute to the change of the city.
