Jeffrey was born and raised in Washington, D.C. and is a proud alum of D.C. public schools. He has founded and worked with social enterprises and initiatives at the intersection of food systems, sustainability, community development and impact investing, both in the U.S. and South Africa. Through his work in these sectors, he has focused on addressing systemic issues by ushering in a new way of doing business centered on accelerating sustainable development and social and economic equity and inclusivity. His experiences founding an environmental consulting and commercial rooftop farming venture, developing innovative financing structures and programs to support an international community of social entrepreneurs, and launching and scaling social impact initiatives while studying abroad have resulted in a transformative impact in communities from Cape Town back home to D.C. Jeffrey currently serves as the Fundraising and Growth project lead for the Sustainable Development Youth Solutions Network, a global community of young people who are leading the sustainable development movement to solve humanity’s biggest challenges and accelerate solutions towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Here, he manages operational aspects of the program, including the execution of strategy and overseeing the delivery of funding outcomes. His work in social enterprise has been recognized by Forbes, the Halcyon Incubator, Middlebury Institute and other leading social enterprise institutions.
