Judith Gutierrez
Policy and Project Management Consultant, California Student Aid Commission
Judith Gutierrez serves as the Policy and Project Management Consultant to Executive Director Garcia at the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC), where she manages high-level projects and collaborates with CSAC leadership in strategic planning, research, and developing policy initiatives. Prior to joining CSAC, Judith served as the Associate Director of External Affairs at Calbright College and Executive Assistant to Deputy Mayor William Chun in Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti’s Office of Economic Development. She was formerly elected President of the UC Student Association (UCSA), a statewide organization representing over a quarter-million undergraduate, graduate, and professional UC students across California. Judith earned her bachelor's degree in politics with a focus in American government at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) in 2018. Today, she serves as a member of the UCSC Alumni Council, where she advocates for current students and young alumni to ensure they are equipped with the tools they need to successfully navigate an increasingly competitive workforce. Every day, Judith is motivated by her desire to make a significant social difference in her hometown, Lynwood, and in underprivileged communities like it. She believes in the importance of lifting others as we climb. Judith is a proud dog-lover, but lives in the city of Sacramento with her cat, Rosie. Her favorite books are The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger and 1984 by George Orwell.
