Membership & Audience Engagement Manager, San Antonio Report
Kassie Kelly serves as Membership & Audience Engagement Manager at the San Antonio Report, a local nonprofit media organization, where she manages the Report’s individual and business membership program, leads coordinated campaigns to raise funds from small donors, and engages new readers through email acquisition strategies. She also writes grants to seek foundational support for the Report and cultivates major gifts. In two years at the Report, she has executed ten fundraising campaigns, each exceeding their financial goals, and her efforts to promote membership have more than doubled the Report's individual member count. A graduate of Trinity University, Kassie received a Bachelor of Arts degree with highest honors in Music and Political Science and a minor in Arts, Letters, and Enterprise. Kassie has public and nonprofit sector experience, including an internship with the Kronkosky Charitable Foundation, where she researched a variety of community issues and regularly compiled her research in accessible briefings for the foundation’s grant committee. She also completed a legislative internship with the Office of State Representative Diego Bernal (HD123), where she provided constituent services, planned and executed a constituent event, and conducted policy research to inform the Representative’s legislative agenda during the First Called Session of the 85th Texas Legislature. Her internship experiences affirmed her passion and talent for relationship-building, community engagement, and fundraising. In addition to her passion for public service, Kassie has a passion for music and choral singing: She sang in Trinity University’s chamber choir throughout her college career, and she currently volunteers in the local community choir. She is a section leader and cantor at St. Paul’s Epsicopal Church. Born in Houston, Kassie moved to San Antonio as a young child but considers herself a native San Antonian. She enjoys listening to music and podcasts, reading political nonfiction, and walking along the Mission Reach. Kassie is a proud product of San Antonio’s public school system.
