Sr. Director of Brand Strategy and Planning, Hotwire Global
Lauren Buckley is currently the Sr. Director of Brand Strategy and Planning at a global public relations firm focusing on the start-up and technology sectors. In the past, Lauren worked at traditional advertising agencies and had the opportunity to create content for some of the largest brands in the world including S.C. Johnson, Beiersdorf, Target, Walmart, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Having served as a communications consultant for local politicians, start-ups, and educational organizations in the Twin Cities, Lauren works to bring her social justice education together with her strategic communications specialty. Previously she has contributed to local organizations like North Leadership Council, The Brand Lab, and the University of Minnesota’s J-School mentorship program, focusing her work on the lack of inclusion and diversity in our local advertising community. She is an award-winning copywriter, strategic contributor to PFSK and Communication Arts, and has worked as both a moderator and a panelist for female leadership and diversity marketing events. She lives at home with her partner and two cats. She is a novice makeup artist, karaoke enthusiast, Peloton addict, and fancies herself a pretty good interviewer. She is a proud Northside resident and a University of Minnesota Graduate where she received her BA in Sociology, Law and Criminal Deviance as well as a BA in Strategic Mass Communications.
