In partnership with EL Education, Leah has presented multiple times at their national conference on reading and writing in subject-area classrooms and positive discipline practices. Prior to serving as a leader at GEMS, Leah began her career as a 5th grade teacher and also served as an instructional coach. Leah received an undergraduate degree in elementary and middle school education from the University of Portland in Portland, Oregon and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in educational administration at The Ohio State University. She grew up on the West Coast near Portland, Oregon and moved to Ohio five years ago.
