Lindsey Lauritzen is a Transition Instructor for Easterseals Arkansas. She prepares high school juniors and seniors with special needs for adult life by teaching them job skills in the classroom and preparing them for the workforce. Lindsey loves to share what she is passionate about by communicating and teaching, so working for Easterseals is an incredible opportunity for her. Previously she has worked for Project SEARCH at UAMS as a Job Coach for young adult interns with special needs and helped place them in integrated employment. From a young age, Lindsey wanted to connect with and help people, so she sought out opportunities to serve her community. She volunteered at therapeutic horse barns in Texas where she grew up and taught lessons to children with special needs, and volunteered with toddlers with special needs at her church. All her experiences led to a degree in psychology from Hendrix College which helped her make her goal of helping people a career. Lindsey is incredibly grateful to have turned her love for this population into a rewarding vocation. Her heart is with this community and she is thrilled to consider her job at Easterseals her vocation. Lindsey lives with her partner Ben and two furbabies, Taz and Tex. She can be found at the dog park or reading a book on the porch.
