Marketing Specialist, Global Aquaculture Alliance
Maddie Cassidy is a Marketing Specialist at the Global Aquaculture Alliance (GAA), located in Portsmouth, NH. At GAA, Maddie manages the nonprofit’s digital marketing strategy, social media channels, writes copy for the GAA blog and email campaigns, assists with event planning for GAA’s annual global conference, and is the co-host of The Aquademia Podcast (your go-to podcast for all things seafood and sustainability, find it anywhere you listen to podcasts!). She previously worked as an Outreach Coordinator at GAA, serving members of the organization and creating meaningful connections with fish farmers around the world. Being outdoors is one of Maddie’s greatest loves. Before working at GAA, she worked at Mass Audubon as a Field Teacher, where she learned that sharing that love of the environment with others is incredibly important to her. Here, she educated students about ecosystems, wildlife, and managing environmental activities. She graduated from Clark University with degrees in Philosophy and Global Environmental Studies in 2017. Alongside her environmental passions, Maddie enjoys videography and photography. Prior to the pandemic, she has spent much of the past few years traveling around the world and she is eagerly awaiting travel to be safe once again to continue experiencing other cultures. For now, you can find her gardening and writing in Newmarket and around the seacoast area.
