Matteo Trevino
Director of Policy & Communications, City Councilwoman Ana Sandoval
Matteo Trevino serves as Director of Policy & Communications to San Antonio City Councilwoman Ana Sandoval. Since joining the Councilwoman’s team in 2017, he has gained experience in media relations, policy analysis, stakeholder outreach, event planning, and constituent services. He takes pride in working with an outstanding team on behalf of the community he grew up in. Prior to working at the San Antonio City Council, Matteo served as a Fellow at MOVE Texas (then known as MOVE San Antonio), where he worked to bring more Texans into the political fold through voter outreach and registration. Matteo received his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Texas at San Antonio. As part of his degree, he also took a significant course load in political science and economics, authored a thesis on feminist care ethics and humanitarian issues along the U.S.-Mexico border. He was competitively selected for the Bill Archer Fellowship Program and the Public Policy International Affairs Junior Summer Institute at Princeton University. Today, Matteo is happy to serve as the Chapter Chair for the local chapter of the Archer Alumni Association. Matteo is a connoisseur of throwback jams, proud patron of the Rollercade on Recoleta, and avid reader who hopes to one day understand Jorge Luis Borges’ work. Until then, he lives happily in San Antonio with his 62 roommates, most of whom are alive and all of whom are house plants.
