Michael Bueno is an independent policy consultant with several years of state and federal experience in environmental and clean energy issues. He currently volunteers his time supporting national and local environmental advocacy organizations and political initiatives. His life-long passion is to ensure equitable access to the opportunities and benefits of scientific innovation and the clean energy economy. Michael most recently worked as the Energy and Climate Program Coordinator for the National Caucus of Environmental Legislators (NCEL) where he aided state legislators in advancing progressive policies in the states. Before that, he served in several capacities at the U.S. Department of Energy under the Obama Administration and as a contractor at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Born and raised in Mission, TX, Michael graduated from La Joya High School and completed his undergraduate studies in environmental science at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. He is a 2020 Fellow of the Clean Energy Leadership Institute and 2013 Public Policy Fellow of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute.
