Molly Peirano strives to live a life of purpose focused on civil rights, access, and equity in education. Molly serves as the Director of Education & Engagement for the Office of Institutional Equity at The Ohio State University, an office she helped create in August 2019. Molly is working on a Ph.D. in Social Work and studies pregnant and parenting students in higher education. Molly’s goal is to bring awareness to the rights of pregnant and parenting students under the law of Title IX and help schools support these students to succeed in their educational endeavors, contributing to social and economic justice. Molly volunteers as a hospital-based advocate for survivors of sexual violence and was named the 2018 Community Partner of the Year by the Sexual Assault Response Network of Central Ohio. She is engaged with Women & Philanthropy, an opportunity for women to give back to OSU and determine what their funds support. Molly serves on the international Nominating Committee for Delta Gamma Fraternity and as the Columbus Alumnae Chapter president. She is thrilled to be an incoming member of the YWCA Columbus Endowment Trust Board. Molly was a 2018 NLC Fellow and is overwhelmed with gratitude for how the program and its members have encouraged her to think more critically and differently. She is eager to continue to contribute to NLC and the greater community through her role on the NLC Board.
