Myra Lee
Chair, NLC Black Caucus

Currently, Ms. Lee is the Social Determinants of Health Policy Analyst at the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services for the state of Michigan. She previously served as Director of Business Outreach and Community Affairs for the U.S. House of Representatives, Michigan’s 14th Congressional District. In this role, Ms. Lee managed constituent services related to small business, corporate relations, and a policy advisor on issues related to workforce and economic development.

Ms. Lee has extensive expertise in project management and community engagement in the non-profit and social impact sector as a policy practitioner specializing in issues related to food security and malnutrition for women and children, social determinants of health in communities of color, and policy implications to promote women's economic empowerment within urban and rural communities both domestically and internationally.

Ms. Lee attended Michigan State University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture, specializing in Environmental Economics and completed her graduate studies at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan where she received her Master of Public Policy degree and obtained invaluable experience on Capitol Hill.
