Natalia Mejia Escobar

Natalia Mejia serves as Assistant Director of International Online Programs and as an adjunct faculty at Southern New Hampshire University. At SNHU, she has been a leader and active participant in multiple diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives geared towards increasing access and success for students from all backgrounds. In her day to day, she works towards the goal of an education that is inclusive and accessible to all. Prior to joining SNHU, Natalia was a professional tutor at New England College, where she provided tutoring in writing and ESOL. She has volunteered as an instructor for an online, continuing education program in Mexico and Central America and worked as an independent Spanish instructor teaching adult learners. She also worked in communications and social intervention with different companies in Colombia. Few things concern Natalia more than a lack of opportunities, which increases inequality and other social issues. That is why she has made her goal in life to contribute to increasing opportunities in whatever way she can. As an accomplished student and athlete, she believes that education, arts, and sports are powerful tools to incentivize change.  Natalia graduated from Universidad de Antioquia in Colombia with a bachelor’s degree in Communications and holds a master’s degree in Education from Tecnologico de Monterrey in Mexico.
