Nicole Burich is an immigrant from Argentina who moved to South Florida with her family when she was only three years old, where she struggled to learn English. Having the knowledge of two different cultures has given her a different perspective for viewing civic issues in her community. This challenge inspired Nicole to make progressive change in her local community as well as the global community. Her primary areas of interest are: homelessness, education, public transportation, and healthcare. Nicole has worked through the Public Allies Program as a Data Quality Analyst for Pathways to Home, a non-profit dedicated to helping families experiencing homelessness become housed and self-sustainable. Her work there consisted of implementing a new database, and streamlining performance output and data accuracy processes. This experience increased Nicole's desire to engage more in her community, in order to make a difference. Nicole earned a B.A. in Anthropology and a Certificate in Human Biology from The University of Central Florida.
