Orlando Almonte
Recruitment Co-Chair, NLC Philadelphia

The Language Access Program is a citywide program that assists in making city services accessible to residents that do not speak English.

Orlando studied Political Science at Rowan University in southern New Jersey before moving to Washington D.C., where he spent a couple of years working with non-profits advocating for language rights. Eventually realizing that D.C.'s food scene was lacking, he moved back to the Philadelphia area and never looked back.

Originally from Perth Amboy, NJ, Orlando enjoys biking, exploring Philadelphia’s amazing food scene, and watching Ben Simmons attempt 3-pointers, sometimes all in the same day.
