Paul B. Allen IV is currently the Chief Media and Production Consultant for a company he founded, Allen Showcase Media Group. He specializes in building teams for media operations and is currently doing so for Mind and Soul 101.3 FM, a low-power radio station program of the Malcolm X Memorial Foundation in Omaha, Nebraska. He is also consulting for the Benson Theatre, a multi-million dollar community theater project also based in Omaha. Paul serves on the board of Verse Inc, a local not-for-profit organization providing services to poets, storytellers, lyricists, playwrights, spoken word artists, theatrical monologists, and rappers for specific, well-defined projects. He is a published writer for The Reader newspaper and is heading up a project in conjunction with Pioneer media to train young people in citizen journalism and new media strategies. Paul comes from a long legacy of entrepreneurship in music, art, and media business. Born and raised in California, he’s worked as an artist, helped run a family recording studio, and helped build an independent record company. During his time in California and during the nine years he’s lived in Hawaii, he has worked in radio, live music event coordination, and music marketing. Since moving to Omaha Nebraska in 2010, his focus has shifted to new media, filmmaking, and storytelling. Paul has volunteered at the Moonshell Storytelling events in Omaha since 2015. He’s used his company to build teams of freelance media specialists that build projects including corporate media and marketing campaigns for Metropolitan Community College, news desks and outlets for independent newsgroups like Mind and Soul News, NOISE, and The Reader, and helped build the KXNB-LP 101.3 FM radio program for the Malcolm X Memorial Foundation. Paul is single and happily lives for his close friends and family. His mission is to live life with loved ones, creating art and business with them. Paul travels frequently to do this and thrives on following the interests that develop from late-night conversations and wine with people he is connected to. His favorite artists are Prince and Jean-Michele Basquiat, his favorite writer and orator is James Baldwin, and he prides himself on being the exact age as Hip-Hop.
