Manager of Family Organizing, Met Cares Foundation
Raynell Joseph is an Organizer with the Met Cares Foundation where she manages community engagement initiatives and co-leads community ownership fellowships, focused on building power with North Tulsa residents. She initially joined the Met Cares family as an inaugural fellow with the Parent and Community Action Team (PCAT) where she learned the fundamentals of organizing and movement-building and applied those lessons to identify and impact issues affecting the north Tula Community. Raynell currently serves on the District 1 Housing and Policy Committee, aiming to address and educate the community on housing disparities affecting North Tulsans. She is the Managing Editor for the Tulsa Star, an online publication focused on justice-oriented investigative journalism. She grew up in Tulsa and is passionate about elevating and building power within her community. In everything, she seeks to live in honor of the ancestors and in service to their descendants. She loves travel, hiking and will forever be grateful to Netflix for reintroducing the world to her favorite show, Girlfriends.
