Robert Robinson
Curriculum/Institute Chair, NLC Nashville

Robert is a nonprofit and education professional from Memphis, TN. Robert is passionate about education, social justice, community empowerment, and working with underserved communities. He received his B.S. from Howard University and his M.Ed. from Vanderbilt University. Robert was a part of the 2017 NLC Nashville cohort and has served on the NLC Nashville Board as the Recruitment Co-chair and is currently on the NLC Nashville Curriculum committee. He has been involved with several local nonprofit organizations including Organizing for America, where he’s done community organizing for campaigns, and the Urban League, where he managed and facilitated K-12 programs, preparing youth for college, work, and life, and served on their local young professional affiliate’s executive board in multiple capacities. He is currently working at Alignment Nashville, a nonprofit in education, where he helps to mobilize strategic partners to challenge and address systemic barriers to ensure students are successful. He also is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and he enjoys mentoring youth and volunteering with local community based organizations.
