Sandy Scott
EPSS Program Coordinator, Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska
Sandy “Macky” Scott II is the Program Coordinator for the Education Pathways for Student Success DEMO grant with the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska where he works closely with Native youth and families to improve academic and student success by providing the students with services focused on career and college readiness, tutoring and mentorship. Sandy is a first generation student who advocates for higher education and aims to increase enrollment and graduation rates for Native American students. Sandy has previously served as a Retention Specialist at Little Priest Tribal College. Sandy serves as a Board Member for the Jesus Our Savior Lutheran Preschool Board and as the Chair for the Community Policing Board of the Winnebago, NE community. Sandy graduated from Little Priest Tribal College with his Associate of Arts and is working toward his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Sandy plans to create a small business focused on serving underrepresented groups in Nebraska by providing academic and education consultation through assisting families with applying for colleges, applying for Financial Aid, college visits and more. He is a big fan of Marvel and especially the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In his free time, Sandy likes to write, shoot and edit short films.
