Sarah hails from Cincinnati, Ohio and moved to Columbus in 2016 to begin her career at the capitol doing community organizing, legislative affairs, and electoral campaigns that are focused on protecting and expanding reproductive freedom and justice for all. Prior to joining URGE, she served as the Communications and Digital Manager at Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio where she helped build a robust political, advocacy, and electoral communication program for Ohio. Sarah brings over three years of unique experience to URGE as the Ohio State Policy and Movement Director. Sarah attended the University of Cincinnati where she earned her Bachelor of the Arts degrees in Political Science and International Affairs with a minor in Women, Gender, Sexuality studies. Sarah is a member of the Pi Sigma Alpha National Political Science Honor Society. Sarah also serves as the Communications Chair on the Board at New Leaders Council Columbus, which is a progressive training program that seeks to equip new leaders with the skills to make transformational change in communities across Columbus. Outside of work, you can find her at any number of community events, running, biking, traveling and enjoying time with her partner or cats, Eleanor and Fia. Sarah uses she/her pronouns.
