Shaquana Harper was raised in Orlando, FL. She is a proud alumna of The Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in Tallahassee where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor in English. In 2012, she received her Juris Doctorate degree from Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, FL. Currently, her primary focus is in auto defense litigation. Specifically, she handles bodily injury cases. Prior to practicing insurance defense, Shaquana was an Assistant Public Defender in Hillsborough and Pinellas County. Shaquana has tried over sixty jury trials ranging from murder to driving under the influence. She was awarded the Best Advocate Award at the Public Defender Seminar College. Shaquana is very active in the legal community. She is the immediate Past President of the Fred G. Minnis, Sr. Bar Association. While serving in the Fred G. Minnis, Sr. Bar Association she successfully secured a grant to help at risk juveniles secure employment. Shaquana also serves on the Florida Bar Criminal Rules Procedure Committee. Shaquana is passionate about her community and seeks to use her knowledge to empower and give back to her community.
