Zachary Zalman Green resides in the Monadnock Region, specifically, Peterborough, NH. He most recently completed working as a field organizer with New Hampshire Youth Movement, turning out young voters and leaders in rural communities to participate in the electoral process. Prior to Green’s organizing work, for the past seven years Zachary has worked as a freelancer in the film and television industry in the capacities of lighting technician, producer, and director. His short documentary films have appeared at the New Hampshire Film Festival, Minneapolis/St. Paul International Film Festival, and The Twin Cities Arab Film Festival. Green is also a writer and author of THE NUMBER YOU ARE TRYING TO REACH (Quotidian Press, 2017) and the co-founding editor of Ghost Proposal magazine. His writing has appeared in Tammy, Court Green, interrupture, Whiskey Island, Ilk, Columbia Poetry Review, Jellyfish Magazine, City Pages (Minneapolis’ former alt-weekly newspaper) and elsewhere. Green was a 2010 & 2011 Elma Stuckey Poetry Award recipient.
